As I have heard by many habbos, there is a lot more scamming now than there has been in quite a long time. What is the point of scamming? It is just like stealing. If your friend says you can borrow a CD but you have to give it back later, you don’t just take it, right? Maybe you should think about how you would feel if somebody scammed you. Like I saw in a very special group (http://www.habbo.ca/groups/21688/id), there is two choices. You either scam, and all the habbos you scammed go tell their friends and they never ever come to you and you are known as a stealer. You can also give what they won and maybe you will make profit and habbos will go around telling their friends how much of a trusted dealer you are. Do remember, think twice before you click the ‘confirm’ button and that you bet at your own risk and you will never get your furniture back.
Note: You can leave your comments, and I will look them over many times within the next few weeks. Remember not to leave any rude comments or they will be deleted!
Thanks,
Loofie, knowing scamming is bad!

So, still interested in becoming a HabboVision forum moderator but just haven’t found the time to type up an application? Well, you better hurry up because we’re currently trying to decide on moderators!
So, if you’re interested, check out the applications section of the website and apply for a forum moderator or send an email to deege[at]habbo-vision.com with some information about why we should hire you and your qualifications, etc.
Already applied? Great- just make sure that you have friend requests enabled because you may be hearing from myself [-gordon- on Habbo.ca] or Deege [Deege on Habbo.ca] in the near future.
Anyways, that’s all for today, peace out!

Here is a question for all Habbos!
Is the ‘D:’ emoticon a FROWN or a SMILE?!
A recent poll conducted by Ginny and Mr.Latour proved that there is an equal split of FROWN’ers and SMILE’ers.
Give us the final say! FROWN or SMILE?!
Post your answer in the comments.
Hey there,
Are you interesting in helping Habbo-Vision with upcoming with a huge, ongoing project?

That’s all for today. Have a good one,
-Gordon
I look in the Hotel from time to time, and it just blows me away how far it has came. I mean, look at how much publicity Habbo videos are receiving! I made a post on the Habbo Videos group, however I think it is worth posting here too because it is relevant to the history of our fansite!
Hi Everyone!
Wow, it is so cool to see how far Habbo videos have come to today!
I remember a waaaay back when Habbo videos were very new. It was an exciting time! Back then, screen recorders were a mystery.
I feel that since I’ve been with Habbo video making from the start, I should post some inspirational words of wisdom

One of the most memorable moments in Habbo animation (that’s what we called it back THEN!) was a video competition between Habbo USA and Habbo Canada. It was stemmed by the dnD Power Hour - a radio show and podcast by two of the Habbo staff members. They were a very rambunctious duo! They regularly had international guests on their shows, like Nizlopi, Sons of Butcher, Rihanna, and Lady Sovereign.
In this case, Lady Sov was the notable one. She played Habbo when she was young! So, she wanted a Habbo music video to one of her tracks “Gatheration”. This is perfect for Habbo, we all LOVE to gather, right?

As I mentioned, it was a competition between Habbo USA and Habbo Canada. We had a deadline, and who ever’s video was best would “win” (bragging rights).
We had Teetoo, dubya, and I “produce” the video. Basically, this was matching the lyrics to imaginable Habbo scenes and animation.
My role was to record the video on my Mac (MythBUSTED: I use a Macintosh for recording, not a PC!) and do the animation in Flash MX.
You can see Habbo Canada’s finished video here:
http://www.habbo-vision.com/ladysov/It was state of the art back then!
The spotlights that you see were all hand-animated by me in Flash. That took patience, hahahaha!

On the other side of the 45th parallel, USA thought they were so awesome that they could get it finished at the last minute. …they were two days late!
So, at the end, it was obvious whos video was better.
They don’t call Habbo Canada the sweetest smelling hotel for no reason eh!
I made a couple of animations before the Lady Sov. one, and many after! I still enjoy making videos!

Our fansite, Habbo-Vision.com is based around the fact that I made these animations.
So, if I was to offer any tips to budding animators of tomorrow, it would be…
1) Plan
-> Make sure your video is well thought out!
2) Find the right encoding algorithm, and stick with it
-> This one took me A LOT of time to figure out. It is well worth taking an hour or so to just play around with different encoders until you find the right one. The one that works the best for me is usually MPEG-4 (Medium Quality) or Animation (Low Quality). Sometimes if you go to High Quality, the pixels “blend” together. You want to avoid this
3) Make sure your dimensions are right
-> Proportional videos (4×3) or Widescreen are nice on the eyes. Videos that change sizes are not visually appeasing. If you’re moving the video into Flash, make sure that the stage dimensions are correct
4) Add animation!
-> If you have Flash, use it! It is great software. It does take practice, though!
5) Music, music, music!
-> In Habbo animations, since there is rarely voice-overs, music is key. In my video “The Bachelorette Habbo”, I composed all of the music myself. I believe it adds a certain aspect to the overall presentation, that just visuals would not be able to convey
6) Comedy
-> Everyone enjoys a joke! Even if you can’t do the previous 5 tips, this one beats all! It is the firecracker of the Rock Paper Scissors.I hope this helps!
Enjoy video making, and make a legacy.
Ginny
Hey Habbos!
The Canadian hotel has just gone through some minor changes, Instead of being open 24/7 It’s now only open 7am- 3am eastern standard time. It may seem like it sucks but think about it Who is really on at 4 am anyways? I guess it’s a new little reminder to get your keisters to bed if you’re on after that ;D

Hey there Habbos!
Ever wanted a room or group designed specially as a tribute to your favorite person, book, movie or game? Well that’s just what Habbo.ca’s “JordanOrnelas!“ has done with his amazing new room “*Classic* Super Mario Brothers”.
I loved this room the minute I set eyes on it. I’d always loved Super Mario Bros. as a little kid and I still do today. The room, which can be seen here, is based on the two main Character of the Super Mario Bros. bros series: Mario and Luigi. Now do you see the resemblance?
If you wanted to visit the room, you can simply search “JordanOrnelas!“ on your navigator. There’s also a group made for the room, which can be found by clicking here.
Anyways, that’s all for today my friends. If you have a room/group made in tribute of a pop-culture icon like this one and you’d like your room or group posted on Habbo-Vision, don’t be afraid to send me at email on Gordon [at] Habbo-Vision.com.
Have a great day,
Gordon.
